A Sustainable Farm

Green Acres Orchard & Ecolodge is a 16-acre organic fruit farm in Balik Pulau, Penang, Malaysia. 

Sustainably farmed for the last 70 years, Green Acres does not use chemical fertilisers, pesticides or insecticides on the farm, minimising pollution to the surrounding environment. All produces are organically grown using own-made compost fertilizers. Committed to sustainable tourism, Green Acres offer farmstays in only 2 lodgings - a treehouse and a reassembled traditional Malay house (as shown in the photo above), using reclaimed materials to build and electricity generated by solar panels.  

Durian Season 2024

Durian flower blossoming season started at our farm at the beginning of March. The flowering will peak by the 1st week of April and will taper off 1-2 weeks after. Add 80-110 days to the time when the flower blossoms and gets pollinated, and you have a rough estimate of the durian ripening and dropping. Each variety of durian has its own length of maturing days. Durian harvesting season at Green Acres starts in June and will last till the end of July 2024.
